To all,
Many of you have known that I have had much going on these past few years with full time graduate school and work. For those that don’t know I finished my degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner last May and passed my licensing boards in August and since July have been working in the same ED only now as a provider with the MD’s. My wife has wanted us to move to St. Andrews Canada in New Brunswick where we have traveled on vacation for years and in early Sept we took a chance, stepped forward in faith and enrolled the kids in school here and they have thrived and the town has welcomed us with open arms. I applied and have been accepted as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care for Calais Regional Hospital in Calais Maine (25 minutes over the border). My position starts in July at which time they will open my own practice as a General Practitioner. In the meantime I am going to staff their ED as a RN (which I have done for years) as a temp employee to end the separation of my family for the past 4 months.
We are still working on the selling of our home in NH as the real estate market has bottomed out and then we have the fun of getting all of our belongings here and buying a new home. Right now we have been blessed to be able to stay at my mother in law’s small cottage here. We are jammed in a bit but happy to be together again.
You will see my location will change as I have just two days left at my old job and then I will be permanently living here on Sat the 6th.
I wanted you all to know this because I will be changing my location and will have different experiences living up here now and I feel you should know about it rather than reading my posts and being confused as to where I am coming from….;).
