Hi Guys!
If you remember two seasons ago I bought my son a Simplicity 1060 as a house warming gift.I was really suprised to see that Simplicity has changed to an electric chute mechanism on the new models in the Pro series..The strangest thing is Ariens I believe stopped offering that type on their machines.
What happens if the electric motor craps out? It doesen't look to have a manual over ride.

Ariens may have discontinued it due to the new chute control. The 12v electric drive was probably slower.
An electric chute can be fun but it is just another thing that can fail.

I concur. Hopefully Simplicity did it in an extra clever way.

does the Ariens 1336 still have the electric chute? I know it still uses a car battary to help the front weight and key start if memory serves me right.
