Hello all, and thank God almighty there is a Santa Clause. No wait, that was meant to say, thank god there are peeps like me who want to know more about their snowchucker, blower, spreader, etc. . All I know is I have a Sears Craftsman 5/20 , thats what it says, it doesnt have any otheer numbers that I can see for engine or model number etc. My only point in all this is if I can find someone that has the same beast as me, and perhaps has the manual which is what I'm looking for. This little machine is gem. It's a single stage snochucker, 5hp engine but it is so pampered, I just had to buy it. I live in Vernon, BC, Canada, not exactly in the snow belt capital of the world, however, it can snow many many many times in Vernon over the course of winter, and I'm damn tired of shoveling. Enough said! I can post a pic of my machine, which I will do, but I thought that I would ask this without a pic to see if anyone knows what I need? Cheers, and thanks in advance.:)[/img]

Hi Snowrunner & Welcome! :)
I cannot help with a source for your manual. However, things like belts, skid shoes (does yours have metal wheels in front?), shear bolts & engine parts should be no problem.

Snowrunner,
What color is it, 2 cycle or 4 cylcle??
My one son has the same machine, I think
If it is green and 2 cycle it might be made by Yard King.
Without a Pic it is hard to tell you what it is!!
If it is a Yard king, go to Murray of Canada web site and request a
manual for a Yard King, model # 621520x43NA.
You should have one in a week!!

It's Grey/Silver and Red striping and lettering. I'll try to get a picture to post online later today. It is a 4 stroke machine and the engine is painted all red.

Wow a self propelled single stage! I don't see a round housing for an impeller so it must be!
How far does this machine throw snow?
You always find interesting OPE up in Canada. I also saw a Canadian electric servo driven Honda HS1336ic snowthrower which was different.

I've only been able to use it once since I bought it  (figures it hasn't snowed since I bought it), but it gobbled up 5 to six inches of wet snow that I hadn't yet shoveled and threw it about 20ft or so. I had to stop the machine twice to clear the chute, but remember it was really sticky stuff. Now it's all frozen, glad I did it when I did :D

That's like the big cousin to my craftsman I traded. Check eBay for literature. There are a lot of OPE manual sellers with ebay stores. Ask them if they have one or can get you one.
You won't be able to get manuals from sears. Parts well...?Maybe? Manuals Not at all. Nothing for anything that old. Sears is terrible with books for the older OPE. I'm looking for one for my tractor still.

I had a Craftsman self propelled single stage snowblower like that except it was red, some guy was throwing it away... The engine was seized up but everything else looked ok. I was going to transplant an engine from another ope to it. Took off the old engine, but never got around to putting on the new one. :D
