I'll get a picture of our tree up here after Santa visits and everything is all neat and orderly.

Termy,
Where I used to live in a small town in northern Ontario, we would go out into the woods and cut a tree down.
Walking through snow up to your knees, freezing your feet and hands, and coming home wet and cold were all part of the joy of xmas, and put you into the spirit.
We would look up that 30 foot spruce or balsam to see if the top looked to be the perfect shape. The ones that grow in the bush will never have perfect tops because of the trees around them. Dad would cut it down, and take the last 8 feet off the top and we'd haul it back to the car. Then we'd anxiously want to get home for hot chocolate and to get those wet boots off.
Dad would doctor the tree to make it perfect by drilling a hole or two and inserting branches to make it full and round.
I decided to do that this year, but I think I got carried away with the tree I picked.
It won't fit in the living room.

Merry Xmas.

Sherri, very festive. You sure have the ability for things to come together more than I.
Marty, very very nice decorative tree, you didn't do THAT yourself DID you?
