Hello,

I have a Tecumseh 6.5 horsepower engine on my lawnmower.

The problem I am having with it is, there is a plastic elbow on the carburetor that the fuel line attaches to...and it leaks fuel at the elbow.

The plastic elbow seems to be a "pressed-in" part on the carb.

Is there anyway to repair/replace this plastic elbow?...or do I have to buy a whole new carb.?

BTW...I checked parts lists for this engine, and they don't list this part.

Thanks,

- Nick

I think that is a press fit..but better let experts chine in on it. here is a thought thou, If it is a press fit- get a used carb off e-bay for parts. just a thought rather than buying new carb. guess pends on cost differance. good luck. Gene

Does it look like this?

Tecumseh part 632527, about $6.00

It is a press fit, but the old one must be removed first. Carb should be removed from engine. There is a procedure for removing that utilizes a 1/4" bolt, a few nuts & washers. Its outlined here in the Carburetor section

Marty,

You are the man!!! :o

Yes that looks like the part.

I went to:

http://www.outdoordistributors.com

And their parts sheets didn't show this part as a separate purchasable part. Hmmm!

I will check out the replacement procedure, and order the part if it looks like something I have the tools to do.

Thanks a ton,

- Nick

Marty...or anyone else...the manual that Marty linked on:

http://www.cpdonline.com

Didn't list my Tecumseh engine model.

My engine model is OVRM120-22032E...6.5 hp.

Is there a different manual for this engine?

Thanks,

- Nick

Nick, even though the engine might not be listed or different, it might be the same carb as in other engines they have. See if you can find the numbers on the carb then cross reference it.

Just a curiosty question.
How are you guys linking and getting the manual from CPD?
I am correct in thinking that it is no longer a free download as it once was?
BTW. The OHV manual is 69544A.

Buttlint,

Is 69544A a part number?

Thanks,

- Nick
