This is the best Cocoa you'll ever have. No preservatives. Has natural anti-oxidants. A bit more work than buying the prepackaged stuff but well worth it. This recipe has been around for many decades but takes TIME to make.

Ingredients: serves 6
1/4 cup Hershey's unsweetened baking cocoa
4 cups of Milk
1/3 cup of hot water
1/2 cup of sugar
3/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
dash of salt
heavy whipping cream

Important variations.
Do not add sugar all at once. Add to taste.
Do not add milk all at once. Add to taste.
A splash of heavy whipping cream to taste.

Mix sugar, cocoa, salt in a saucepan.

Stir in water.
Place on medium heat.
Bring to a boil. Stir 2 minutes.

Stir in milk and heat. Do not boil.
add vanilla.

Use real whipping cream. Never from a can! Never Cool Whip!
You can add cream directly to Hot cocoa without whipping, it will not only change the strength of the cocoa but will make it smoother.

Whipping the cream will cause it to float if you wish.

Like all great chefs do, the trick is to taste it constantly while tweeking the milk and sugar as you heat.
