I was a little bored, and started thinking about all the different junk I've found up the junkyard left in cars after being junked or impounded. Impounded cars are the best for finding cool stuff

I drove Tow Truck for 20 years (1 ton wrecker) and I have gotten many of the same things you listed from impounded unclaimed vehicles... except the 14k watches with diamonds... I have found a somewhat fire arm in one that I was scrapping... was a crossman pellet rifle. I still use it to this day. Gawd only knows how many stereos, amps, speakers etc I have collected and sold throughout the years.
I drive a big Peterbilt tilt n' load now doing equipment like forklifts and big bad ass backup generators and such. Sigh, miss the good ole days sometimes.

I too, have found some cool stuff at junkyards when I used to go "Pontiac scrounging" for engines & misc.
The ABSOLUTE BEST was about 20 years ago, I went to a junkyard in Trenton NJ on a lead for a Pontiac Ram Air engine. It was a 1970 Firebird Formula. After extracting the engine, I went to gut the interior. Under the seat I found a report card for Darnell Trimell. The name alone is priceless! It had "F"'s, "D"'s & MANY negative comments about this studious child. "Darnell is a wUnderful child but him need to applys hisself better". THATS A DIRECT QUOTE my friends, FROM A TEACHER!!! Then the kicker - there were parole forms that covered about 15 years of "time" in & out of the slammer, paternity suit papers for 2 bastard kids, love notes that would make an English teacher CRINGE. I mean, the english was deplorable (ebonics). I should have saved that stuff because I laughed my frigging butt off while reading this colorful advent of history.
Guess you had to be there...
