Heh heh heh

I don't have a heated shop... so I dragged the beast into the kitchen to work on it... Got a feeling my wifey-poo may not be impressed. :whistling: She'll thank me later though.... when she can get out of the driveway without the aid of a snowmobile...

Ya think she'll fall for the ole "That's not a snowblower, ummm, thats a food processor... ya, that's it... a food processor!"

"Just aim the chute at the stove babe... look at all that time I am saving you"

On a serious note, I like the idea of that bar on the front of it. Did you add that, or did it come like that? I maybe just hadnt noticed them before. Anyways, it looks like it would serve as a safety bar, but also if you were banging into some high thick drifts, it seems like it would greatly help break them up, so that the impellers would have an easier time digesting them. How does it work for ya?

That bar is factory. I would have to imagine it's just a different kind of drift buster or chunk buster. It doesn't guard enough to be a safety bar. I'm 6' 4 or 5" and 275lbs and it looks like there would still be room to suck me into the world of pink mist.

I have seen the tall ones that look like rulers bolted on verticaly which will let you carve out a decent runway for your 747. They do a nice clean square cut through anything. I personaly have not hit anything big enough yet to give her the full workout, as I picked this unit up at the end of last season. I can see it being a great help @ EOD. Will let ya know how she does though. The couple times I have used her though... man... what a hungry machine!! I was impressed.

P.S. Wife still loves me... bless her soul. 15 years of putting up with my collecting "junk" as she puts it... you can see where I have been in the house at all times! But as George Carlin says... gets your "junk" away from my "stuff"!

Man...you are brave! Could call it a salad shooter I suppose.

Isn't that front handle bar for the wife to hold on to and pull during the clearing at the End of Driveway? :o

Seriously, I think that the horizontal bar would work better in some instances. I only have the side bars. The side ones only work if it is clear on the side of the drift. Going straight into a drift only dumps the snow on top of the machine.
