I have a brute brand name snowthrower that it has been working for 2 years. It's just stop working on me. The only time it starts when I pull some gas where the spark plug goes. I remove spark plug, put gas in there and then put back spark plug, otherwise it would not start. PLEASE HELP, snoooow is coming :(

:welcome:

Welcome to the forum!

Now, not to be a smart A--, but you do have gas in the tank, right?
If it will only run on the gas you pour into the cylinder, then your carb. is clogged up and will have to be cleaned. Usually the result of stale gas left in the carb during the off season. Happens often.

Welcome to the forum.

100% agree with Ken,
Other thought,
Since we don't know what you've done so far and what you've checked (and I don't know that particular machine).......

(And NOT being a smart a$$ either).....

But is there a valve to shut off the flow of gas from the gas tank?
If so, have you tried it both ways if it's not clear which way is on?

I have seen those machines here at Walmart (Canada). Not sure if they are just here or US as well.

Sometimes it is the littlest of things that give us fits when the engines don't start.

yea, the smallest things.

I have a genset that originall used 5 gallon surplus U.S. govt issue jerry cans. There was a kit for the pickup.
After years, the rubber like line just dissappeared and there was a mess on the bottom of the jug. And with the onboard 1 gallon can, the genset ran terrible.
Got a new permant fuel cell, welded up a frame for it. Mounted the cell and hooked it all up. Replaced the lines, filter, cleaned out the bowl, carb.. still ran like crap.
Figured I missed something on the carb or something else fuel wise. Thought about a rebuild, but before that something made me change the spart plug.
That was it.

thank you all for a warm welcome... There is an off and on switch next to gas tank. I 've tried switching off and on, no success. I noticed that a screw under carb when I pressed it old gas came down and it smelled awful. Definitely, there is some old gas in carb. I will try to clean up carb tomorrow and keep you posted.

There ya go.
That little press valve on the bottom of the bowl is used to drain the very last bit of fuel from the bowl after you "ran it dry".
The float could be stuck up (stopping the flow of fuel), if the bowl was left full from last year.
