Happy Thanksgiving to one and all. Let's remember to count our blessings and give thanks.

To those that are traveling, be safe!

Thanks for the well wishes one and all. And a filling and happy thanksgiving to you.

I won't be able to do the cornish hen joke on my m-i-l as we will be at my cousin's in DE this time. I can hear it now...."are we there yet?".

Y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving, eh!

And I've always wanted to say this to a large group: GET STUFFED ...
with turkey, pie, dressing, cranberry sauce.... The turkey shouldn't be the only one that is stuffed.

I'm thankful for my life that GOD has blessed me with. Remember to say our prayers and ask the lord to be with us and thank him for our blessings which he has bestowed on us. I'm thankful for this forum, and my whole life.

Thank you all for the good wishes! My wife had to work (healthcare folks have to work holidays unfortunately) so my daughter and I cooked the turkey and all the fixin's and had it ready when she got home. Some mighty good eating at my house including 3 pumpkin pies. Only 2 slices left this morning.

Joe did you use canned pumpkin or the real thing to make your pies? I had 2 pumpkins out for Hallowe'en and when I was done I had 18 pies.

I've made them from fresh pumpkins in the past, but used canned pumpkin this year. We made our own pie crusts if that counts.

I used fresh pumpkin and store bought crusts. So I guess we're even.

I must confess that the mince pie I baked was a frozen one, but I've found that "Mrs. Smith" makes a darn good mince pie! I think yesterday marked the end of the left overs from Thanksgiving

My Ex sent a chocolate pie with the kids. There wasn't any poison or anything in it, that I know of. Wonder what she wants?

I think the Price Club pies were Mrs Smith, they were very good.
