Just wondered. It seems it takes longer to change pages that usual, at times. I've noticed it on my home computer (high speed cable) and my work computer (ultra whizzy high speed something or another).
Glad it wasn't just my brain going to fast. Well, we know it couldn't be that.

My connection seems to be the same.

I've seen it come and go. It depends on a lot of things.
If your connection is fine, then it's most likely a heavy load on the server that the database for the forum is on.

Off and on for me too. At times the whole net has seemed a little slow, matbe Patrick is on to something.
Mods and Admin, Thanks for toasting all those buthole surfers that just come and plant a www. on the memberlist. I mean everybody likes a good porno site now and then but advertise somewhere else.

no problem, must of toasted about 8 of em today. A bit more active then norm lately.
I've had the web be fine, the web pages of opeonthenet.com site be fine, but the pages of the forum be a bit slow.. when that happens (for a very short time), it's the database server load being a little on the high side.
It's never stayed slow for a very long time.
But when everything is slow, then it's another story.
You can have a blazing connection with local web sites, but of one hub somewhere on the net, the one you have to go through to get to a more distant website is slow or bogged down with heavy traffic, you'll think that that particular website is slow.. someone else may not need to go through that particular hub/server in the net, so they don't see the latency, slow down.
You connection is only as fast as the slowest link/hub in your connection to a particular website. When you visit google, you aren't going straight to google, your going through a bunch of other servers, each handing off your request.
Here's a good example. Even got one hub/server in my test to google to time out and the test had to retry... 12 servers just to get to google.com.

There are soo many things that can make it be a bit slow, that it probably isnt anyone thing every time.
