2006 Toro 2450GTS with recoil start
Here is a quick overview of this machine:

I finally got to use it in moderately heavy/wet snow anywhere from 4 to 12 inches deep (slush at the bottom since up till 8 hours ago it was raining) and not a single problem with pushing the snow.

Starting: I moved the choke lever to start postion, primed once, and pulled moderately and it started, within a minute the choke was ready to be put back into run postion.

Throwing SNOW: Went through everything with little effort, in fact if I turned the machine too much into the snow (4-6" deep) it took off from me. I had to push a bit on the 12" inch high stuff but I think it would of went through on it's own just impatient and used to a smaller snowblower. Not sure if the snow was going 30 feet but it was pushing it high and at least 15-20' when the chute was postioned forward and up.

Other: I like the idea you can let go of the blade bar to stop the blades but leave the machine running.

Anything not so good: As people mentioned this thing can steer itself so remember to keep a firm grip.

Comparsion: I am comparing this machine to a 1995 toro powerlite E with 3horsepower and 16 inch blades. To anyone who uses one of those and has difficulty with it going through snow, too many passes to do the job. and the machine just stalling out at times, I have no problem saying that upgrading to the 2450gts for me is night and day.

Pros:
Throws snow well
Still manuverable and probably easier compared to a comparable two stage
Starts easily

Cons:
Some torque steer
