After a bit over a year an half of use I though I would share my thoughts on this saw. 18 in bar I still am not crazy about, I like them shorter for my type of work. No heat sheild over muffler so wear heat sheilding glove on the left hand as it gets so hot it will burn you holding the handle. Which brings up the chain brake being to damm close so as you buck into fire wood the brake is constancly being set off because of the glove and clearance.
DEALER SUCKS BIG TIME, carries no parts have to order even simple things.
Now the good things. Eats seasoned oak, ash and even hickory for lunch with power to spare.
Light and well balanced.
Starts OK idles good and is easy on fuel & bar oil.
Would I buy one again? NO!!
I'm back to husky when I get a new chain saw even if I have to drive 3 hours for a decent dealer.
