Starts on first pull as long as the fuel valve is on. Doooh!

Smooth running engine with a powerful sound. The muffler does a good job of removing tones which carry for any distance, and the sound level drops rapidly a short distance from the mower.

In dry grass, a fine mulch is produced and deposited deep into the lawn. Sometimes wonder whether the grass is being consumed or mulched.
No grass build-up under deck and only a small amount to be removed from the housing blade path. This is with the stock mower blade.

Although one should not mulch wet deep grass, it can be done, but it will miss some spots and there will be quite a build-up in the blade path. It will also deposit clumps of mulch on the lawn. However, the engine will not bog. Observed while cutting 8" grass down to 3 inches. Not the usual or recommended cutting situation.

The blade brake shuts off the engine which may be a nuisance if you are pausing to move something. I usually do all the trimming first and walk the lawn, removing objects.

Overall, very pleased with the mower.
Suitable for residential lawns or for those wanting to do some walking. Wouldn't want to be pushing it uphill for long distances, since it isn't self-propelled.

Features:
Honda GCV 160 Overhead Cam engine
Single lever control w/choke position
No engine priming needed

Pros:
Powerful engine
Great mulcher
Engine noise doesn't carry far

Cons:
Blade brake shuts off engine, which could be annoying for those who want to move objects as they mow. Engine starts easily on first pull so not a big problem.
