Echo 2400 series Split Boom Trimmer/Edger
Model No: 2400
Manufacturer: Echo
Great product! Two products for the price of 1 1/4.
The 24cc engine is plenty powerfull for homeowner usage and will take care of brush as well with thicker diameter line or a brush blade. The easy of changing attachments is as simple as turning a knob to relase the trimmer or edger attachment to put the other one on, it takes 30 seconds total.
The edger is the slickest think since sliced bread. It provides a terrific edge and is very fast, It's lightweight and allows the user to hold it one handed and simply walk it down the area being edged, it will pull itself along.
I bought this at the same time I bought my Snapper RER and made a deal on the two that was very attractive. I think the list on it was around $275.00 plus another $80.00 or so for the edger attachment.
Pros:
Ease of use
Performance
Cost savings
Dependability
Starting in one or two pulls
Maintenance parts available almost anywhere
Cons:
Can't think of any
Date Purchased: 1999 - 2000
