I have done little metal detecting, I have a metal detector but I just don't find myself doing it all the time. I am young and I am interested in things like computers games and ope. When I become a old fart I will probably do more metal detecting. I find myself loosing patients and walking too fast with it. You got to have lots of paitents and be slow walking for it to detect right!

Most communities have metal detecting clubs. Anywhere a large group of people have been, lakes when they are down, old homesteads, etc, are good places to detect. Hope you find alot of treasure, there is alot out there to find. Rings and old coins are a good...

That's something I always thought I'd like to do.
I'm sometimes teased about being "tight"..(although I'm not....)
The people who know me best would think it would be a great hobby for me. I could easily see myself getting into it.

Saw a show on the Discovery channel once a while back wherein these guys would sleep/sit in their cars/trucks in a hurricane next to a beach so as they could be the first ones out there after the storm.
I guess the waves would take the sand away and eat up the beach revealing stuff. Some of them did well that way. Looked interesting.
