I noticed the impeller in my mid 70's Gilson 10/26" machine has seen better day's so I'd like to replace it. What's the best impeller I can get? Is it easier to match one up if I take it off? This thing has a HUGE shute so I'd like to see a big rooster tail coming from it. :D I'm just waiting for some snow to test this old rig out....I wanna see if there is any life left in it. The engine run's great and I'm getting some new belts for it tommorow.

Big Red, you live up the road from me. I was talking to a guy who rebuilds blowers and sells them. I will e mail you his phone number. He may have some used parts. He also buys used blowers any condition. Ever go the the T.B.R.? Thursday is wing night and the wings are excellent.

Nope, but I drive by it everyday. :D I've never been in there but I've heard the grub is good. I'd like to get a brand new "impeller on steroids" if I can...LOL...Something to throw the snow from here to Dartmouth. I gotta get a new friction wheel as well, it's getting worn too. I usually get my parts at Provincial unless I score it cheap on ebay.

At those prices in US dollars I think I'll make my own. :D I have TIG, plasma cutters and various other welding gear at work so it shouldn't be too hard. Mostly the old one is just bent/warped so I should be able to straighten it out/repair it once I get it off the machine. I cleaned it up and painted it through the shute hole just to make it a little more slippery...Still waiting for some snow to see what kinda rooster tail that old tank will make. :D
