I aim to make people laugh as much as I can and a nice young gentleman suggested that I post my story for all you to read, so I'll expand on it a bit...
I was in a Christmas pagent on Sunday as Mary. Imagine me as Mary.
Anyway the minister was saying about the live nativity scene and how it was nice to have the 'store bought ones' but the live nativity was like it was all those years ago. She wanted the shepards to come out, she asked 3 times, no shepards. So I yelled out, "Hey shepards, get your butts out here." Well to say the least she was shocked and the shepards hurried to the stage. All she could say was, "See what I mean - a live nativity." The whole congregation laughed. The rest of the nativity (wise men and angels) all came when called for by the minister.
I have been playing Mary now for several years and have the most unique head piece. You see Mary in pictures with a nice long flowing piece of material on her head - my nice flowing piece of material - a shower curtain that doesn't stay on very well as it only has a piece of ricrac holding it. :o
There was a time that I wouldn't have been caught dead on stage, much less on stage actually speaking, but I must be mellowing out in my old age.

I tell you Sherri, I could not and still can not even imagine you as Mary  But that was a great story and it got me LOL. Thankyou for sharing it with us. I know now that if you are ever at another christmas pagent and the shepards do not come out onto the stage when called, you will yell at them to get their buts out there! Now thats the Sherri I know, "Get your butts out here now!"

Marshall, LOL....
It does get easier after you have done things like that for awhile. I try to remember that as nervous as I feel the congregation is even more nervous to be up there themeselves.
