I think its MTD made, but seemed pretty thick steeled, and decent quality. He got for 749 delivered, no tax. Not bad. I'll stick to my Toro, but figured maybe someone readin might appreciate a decent buy.
Northern Tool White Outdoors Snowblower.

Hi,
It looks like an MTD made machine.

I'm willing to bet it throws snow. Isn't that what they're suppose to do? Nothing wrong with that.

I think I would buy a 5520E or a 624E Ariens for $679.00 or $799.00 respectively before I paid $770.00 for the MTD made White.

Yeah I seen those. TYhis is a thicker gauge steel on this one he got, that's what I liked about it. It wasnt that flimsy gauge stuff on the run of the mill MTD's. Dont know muych about 'em, but when I checked it out, I was impressed w/ its build, and surprised what he paid total.

I got my Ariens 7524 (7.5hp) for $759...with tax came to $804 from my local OPE a few weeks ago....on the Ariens site they're $829....
BUT....you can't complain about the no tax and no shipping charges, especially on an item that big :D

Yes, those prices I posted are MSRP, not final point of purchase prices.

As you point out, $804.00 ($44.00 more) total price for an Ariens 7524 or, $759.00 for the MTD White? The White has a headlight, I like that.

Bill D knows his snowblowers so if he says the White is not your standard MTD and that it's a good buy, then it's a good buy.

How are you liking your Ariens Truckman? Have you written a review on it yet?

You know, I haven't written one yet.....I've only used it once so far...5" of a dry powdery snow... My only complaint is not having figured out my property and pattern yet, so it wasn't a very efficient job..and that's not even the machine's fault... Having used an old neighbor's (we just moved last month) MTD MTD (no other branding on it) for the last 6 years, my biggest complaint is the chute control..how it's a thin wire screw type thing that spins and turns the chute...it kept freezing up, and even when dry and clean, it was difficult and not smooth...it kept popping and skipping.....that's just me and my experience/opinion.... Like I said above, hard to say no to no tax/no shipping...

The "White" brand is one of the ones gobbled up by MTD, along with Bolens, Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet and others.
