If you were tall enough when you stand on that chair you would have noticed that the true tree top is just a nub. It also is in the center of the tree. Right now folks I have the tree top on what he thinks was the top of the tree. It's pathetically off center and sticks out to one side. But it is Christmas and if he thinks the tree top looks good there then that shall be my gift to him. Don'tcha just love the holidays????? I would like to see the top in the center of the tree, but I'll just tell everyone he put it there, they'll all understand...

Are you implying that Shoveler is just slightly off center? ![]()

Chris, be happy it was just the top of the tree she lopped off. Could've been worse.

Be very wary Showshoveler. This may be a sign of a looming mental derangement in Sherri.
First it is the seemingly innocent xmas tree top that gets lopped off, and then you see the lilacs and rose bushes in your yard missing tops.
Then she wants one of these for her birthday..
... on the premise that she can cut down the xmas tree next year that much faster.
And then you come home one night, to find your property looks as treed as the moon.
And there she is feeding the evidence into a big chipper.
Now that Sherri has pine sap on her hands, there is no telling how far she might go in her sadistic, tree killing lust.

But on the bright side...she might decide she needs to go topless too...and with all those trees missing, you'll have a great view of her at all times....  (See Shoveler...there's always a silver lining...)

i will have to book you in early, especially since i expect this to be a high traffic area with miss SS running around topless and all.

My most favorite christmas movie would have to be "Christmas Story" and I remember the shabang that they had to go through to get the tree and set it up, kind of reminds of that when I think about your wife hacking off the top piece of the tree lol. This is going to be a good christmas this year.

My Christmas faves have to be The Grinch and Mickey's Christmas Carol.
And I didn't hack of the top of the tree. :? I'll have to remember to bring my camera home from work and take a picture of it. You'll see that the top is off center...
I'll also get a picture of it when it's all done with all my hand painted ornaments on it. I have a long ways to go and I have to find a better extension cord then I have now. (Currently using a light that has a long cord and a place to plug in a cord in the handle.)

The top might be slightly off centre, but the star seems to be leaning. Maybe you need to jack up one corner of your house until the star is sitting straight.

Scary as it sounds I thought about asking him to go out and do just that... :? But then I thought about it and well, aren't we all a little off plumb? :P

Nice tree and ornament decoration arrangement going there. My tree buying experience was pull into the tree dealer closing down, pick out the best tree I thought was there and say $15 or $20. Pick the thing up and throw it into the back of my Chevy truck and get going down the road within 3 minutes. Maybe on impulse, but all I was told was to get a small tree, and that's what it is.

Thanks AJace. I think I have it almost finished now (if no dogs come to visit and tail knock everything :? ), I have a few ornaments that my aunt made to hang yet. Small trees can be nice too, but how small is small?
