Wonder if he takes trades?

I'll do an even trade with him, and he can keep the car. The exterior finish on that high mileage unit looks well maintained and in good condition.

That's too bad. I don't suppose a few good oil flushes will fix that up, even using synthetic?

Ohhhh.... I feel the almost irresistible urge to post something that would result in a violation of the G-rating we almost have on this forum.
But I will say, that rod was probably a happy one.

Looks like an easy restoration to me. Maybe polish the dents, get rid of the bondo, install a rear locker, new rubber, replace valves, hone the cyclinder walls, and squirt some starter fluid down that carbs throat.

Perhaps a new muffler, too. That would keep the loud, unpleasant sounds from hurting ones ears.

I'm with Chris on this one, I think the maintenance will make the cost of ownership too high.. best off renting such a model !

Renting too could bring you high costs...
You don't know who or what has been there before you and what kind of cruddy risks they could have been spreading around...
Make sure that you weigh every option carefully and cautionally before you make any rash decisions

I think she is saying she just doesn't want you to do anything rash...

But making a rash decision leading to a rash action can cause a rash reaction, resulting in a rash outbreak of some sort of rash.

Don't worry Windy...if you were to make a rash decision and wind up with a rash, we'll take the rachet to it...![]()
