One of the clickpins on my 1980s yardman is stuck . I am not sure if it is rusted in or bent. But I cant pull it out.

Whats the best way to get them out?

thanks

What do you mean by "clickpins" ? - Kris :D

sorry ,

I mean the pins that lock the wheels to the axle. The ones you can pull to make one or both wheels freewheels.

How about a hammer and a punch?

I was thinking the same thing but add some penatrating lube first.

The pin that Sherri (MissSnowshoveler) is showing is the pin that holds the wheel (rim) on the axle and I somehow don't think that is what you are referring to. I think you are referring to the pin that locks the differencial. That makes both wheels drive wheels, is that correct ? - Kris :D

1980s yardman...not likley it has a differential.
just uses a pin like sherri posed .
they sometimes will get a bend in it ,particularly if using chains.
almost have to use a small punch and hammer.
