'shoveler was out trying one of the new Husqvarna snowblowers out this morning and my camera just happened to be handy, so I took a couple of quick pictures and I have a video, but it's extremely grainy at best and still haven't been able to figure out how to get the video from my computer to your screens, so the pics will have to do for now...

Nice throw, over the power lines and the snow is not that deep from the pics. Imressive.
Thanks for the pics BTW.

That blower is generating a SERIOUS "rooster tail" of snow. You must have real light powder, or that machine is really powerfull. Looks good and thanks for the pics. So what's the boss's opinion now that he has used it?

The snow is light and fluffy with a crusty base. Seems to want to eat anything that's gets in it's way. I hope Taz moved his toys when I told him too. :o
To tell you the truth, I don't know if Dad has used one of the new blowers yet or not. He must have, Chris seems to be impressed with their performance so far. Already had a guy try to pile his firewood, didn't work out so well.

The last time I seen that was back in 87 where a Honda was blowing snow in Kentville. Are they under 2k Canadian? Sometimes do work in Bridgewater to do work at the Turkey Burger or Waves Seafood. Where is your shop as I'd like to have a look at your blowers if I am in the area. I am from Halifax N.S. You can e mail me if you want.

The 1130STE's are going for $1719.95, the 9027STE for $1519.95, and the 8527SBE for 1269.95 + the tax. Our distributor is out. We ordered 12 more units yesterday and are hoping to have them later today or tomorow. They look to be an able machine. I will be posting Ariens in action pics here somewhere, probably in the snowblowers in action thread (if I can find the time). The 9 hp & 11 hp models are the only 2 that came with the OHV engine and that's why the pricing might seem a little wonky.

:D Drums,
When you go to look at the Husky's, check out the 927 model.
Check the Engine Spec and if it is an 221800 series, it it really an 11.5 HP engine!!!
If the above is true, it would be a much better buy than the 1130 model and a $200 lower price.
I have the 927STE. It has a TEC 11.5 HP OHV engine, not a 9HP

You have that right Marty. Chris is a one man snowstorm with that thing.
Thanks Sherri.

I'm jealous that you guys have snow to throw. We are getting another mess tonight. I've got the sweeper ready to go. - Kris :D

Mess is the word. The ice is only about 3/8 of an inch thick, but it is slippery, and it is everywhere. Some snow today, then enough rain to wash away the salt on the roads, then more rain on everything. Too bad the roads and stuff are still pretty cold, everything is a sheet of ice. Sure hope it warms up enough to melt this stuff by morning.

Thanks Sherri and Snowshoveler for those pics.
Nice height on that throwing.
Good thing it was dry snow. Don't think the power company would appreciate you weighing down their lines.

its not like miss ss to be outside and have her camera.
i was quite surprised that she took so many pics.
even her father (the boss) was surprised.then he got her to print off some and we then showed some customers how well they worked.
we sell just about as fast as we assemble them.
sherri also e mailed the pics to our distributer and they were very impressed.
said they would foreward them to advertising and promotions.
guess i should have been dressed up a bit eh.
chris
ps ...i always test the blowers out. but bragg up sherri a bit and she might take even more pics of me with other blowers.
hopefully i wont run out of lawn to blow snow off of.

Great pix Sherri, really, not saying that because of Chris's last post.
Thanks for getting out there in the cold and snapping them.
Chris, we dont have to thank you, since you were the one having the fun!!!! but really.. tnx...
How were the controls, did they loosen up?
But it's killing me, we've been 15degs F colder than normal and dry.
Not a flake.
Now the moisture is coming and we're going up to 40degF and lots of rain, buckets they say.. If that was only snow I could pop the cherry on my Toro!!!!

Second question,
how deep was the snow?
just a couple of inches?
If so, did ya have to use a fast forward gear to fill the chute to throw well?
Or does it seem to manage to throw well with out a full pipe line?

There is 6 - 10 inches of snow out on the front lawn. Depends on how the wind was blowing.

My area is suppose to be getting 6-12, and the weather guy said my area closer to 12, this shall test my Single stage toro since my ariens is still AWOL. It through the heavy snow we got today real good (maybe 5-10ft), but now it feels so inferior when I look at that :P

Very impressive!
Very nice pictures! :)
IMO the last picture was "the money shot"! That is because the snow was being thrown to the left. Throwing to the left is always a little weaker than to the right. That machine was doing a great job of throwing the snow high and far. Super performance to the right as well. It's always very testosterone enhancing :P to send the plume of snow high and far. Makes for great "bragging rights"!
