I purchased this machine four years ago now to clear snow off of my gravel drive, around my house and to the propane tanks. I needed a track drive unit for my steep drive and it had to be durable due to our snowfall amounts here.

Date Purchased: 7/01
Price Paid: $1895
Recommend: Yes Pros:
Quality Build, it is a solid tough simple unit.
Traction of the track drive is phenominal, it will pull me up a icey drive. Also no holding the auger housing down in the heavy snows.
Throwing distance has to be seen to believe, this allows you to choose where it goes.
Augers will cut through ice and old snow like butter. This is priceless for pushing back old snowbanks.
Remote chute deflector which again allows you to control where the snow goes.
Easy to start tough GSX engine, one pull in below zero temps and it is quiet for an engine it's size.
Easy to replace the shear pins.
Hydro-drive is simply amazing, it allows you to set the perfect speed for the conditions in front of the auger housing so no second passes.
Nothing stops it.

Cons:
Shear pins break easily but this is intentional to protect the machine.
Chute deflector is reversed, turn it right and the chute goes left and vice versa. That always takes some getting used to again.
The chute crank is too low, it should be mounted on the consul.
