I bought this pressure washer when they were running their first come first serve deal. I had windows, gutters, decks, siding, cement, and the grill to get cleaned, so I decided on the B & D Electric 1600 PSI unit considering I would only use it a few times a year. Assembly was simple and fun to do, every part fit correctly. It does not take that long to set it up to pressure wash either, 5 minutes max. I thought it performed quite well on the jobs that I was using it for. More than enough PSI to get the job done. I liked the adjustable wand for both pressure and pattern and I thought the Turbo nozzle worked well also. The agitation of the Turbo nozzle helps when the fan wand does not perform, or when you want to clean large areas.
25 feet of hose was not enough for me to be able to do the roof, so that was a little disapointing. As others have stated about the shutdown problem, that is the cause of running the unit for long periods of time on the wrong guage of extension cord. The unit gets hot and automaticly shuts down to cool. I ran this unit on a 12 guage extension cord with a fuse breaker on it and I had no problems at all! As with all pressure washers, they develope air in the lines and you have to get that out in order to have full pressure. Well, this unit takes a long time to get the air out. (I was following the manual)
All and All this is a good pressure washer except for the miner problems. I give 4 out of 5 stars for a good product from B & D
PS: To solve the limited 25 feet of high pressure hose problem, I bought a 25 foot hose and coupler from Northern Tool.
