Model 924508
Ariens Sno Thro 11.5HP 28" Profesional model.

I bought my Ariens Pro in November of 2003. This machine has the 12V automotive style starting system, OHV engine, and Limited slip differential. It is much more machine than I need in a average winter.
That said, a foot of snow barely phazes it. Altough a inch or two doesnt give it enough to throw properly. It needs to be Fed :!:

There was a Design flaw in the snow discharge chute. When discharging hard right, a snow plume would miss the chute and head towards the operator.
Through the OPE website, And during several phone calls, e-mails and picture sesions, a Baffle was quickly designed to remedy the problem. Thanks Ariens.

I now have 2 years of above average snowfall through the machine. No other problems. Im usually helping the neighbors during the Big Storms, who all have smaller machines.

I would like to see a Quieter, smoother running engine as a option for the profesional line-up.

I loved the 1128DLE so much I bought an Ariens residential machine for my Dad.

I did receive the FREE baffle kit from Ariens to correct the snow blowby problem you alluded to which works great. Also bought the option weight kit and optional drift breakers. Arien's customer service was very quick.

In addition, I bought an on-board trickle charger that bolted on right next to the battery. I have a dummy receptacle in which the charger plug is stored to keep the salt from causing corrosion.

I bought an oversize machine in anticipation that I would buy a house in PA. That did happen in 2004 so I made the right purchase. Temps are 8-10 degrees colder than Jersey and I get some lake effect.

I do wish I had the new improved halogen lights and the trigger lock for my differential which is standard on the pro models for 2005-6.
