This is a surprising saw for it's size. The saw features a Strato Charged engine, dust free air intake and RedMax boosts that they have lower emissions without using a catalytic converter.
The saw is 40.1 cc's, 2.4 hp, has a dry weight of 9.5lbs, and automatic oiling system, an aluminum alloy bar mount, will take a 14-18 inch bar, a 2 year consumer warranty, lifetime of the ignition coil, (both as of March 2005 in Canada), and a maximun suggested RPM of 13,000.
The GZ4000 is easy to use, good for home owners with one or two branches and those that do light work around their yard. We have sold them to the "older" people that just refuse to give up the rights to use chain saws and they don't seem to have any problems with them.

Pros:

balances well

Cons:
gas cap and oil cap are really close together
runs small chain
