I first started the mower and put on these things, then engaged the mower and set out to mow. It had a real nice pleasant hum in the background while I was listening to Big & Rich via my CD player. This seems like a good investment! I'd highly recommend a pair of these.

Pros:
Comfortable fit
Cuts the noise down nicely

Cons:
Battery door seems flimsy, after a few years of opening and closing the door to replace the batteries it might bend off
